Quality Accreditation

At BCL we are particularly proud of our commitment to Quality Assurance, which has been a "first principle" in our business for many years, with the company registering under the BS 5750 scheme nearly 20 years ago. In 1990 the system received formal accreditation to BS 5750, making BCL the first major timber rainscreen cladding and ceiling specialist in the Uk to acheive this standard.

In 2004 BCL qualified for accreditation under the latest ISO 9001 2000 standard. We continue to develop & improve our Quality Control procedures throughout the business.

Quality Assurance
Thorough checks & detailed testing is carried out by BCL trained operatives throughout the entire design, manufacturing and installation stages of the contract process.

A comprehensive Quality “audit trail” is established at the very early stages of our involvement with a new project from initial design drawings, through product testing & approvals, until final hand-over of the completed installation.

The supporting QA documentation is made available for client inspection at any time.

Technical Excellence
Working closely with the Industry’s leading manufacturers and suppliers enables us to provide a complete “turn-key” technical service to our clients.

Performance criteria for consideration:

• Thermal Insulation of overall building envelope.
• Structural calculations – including primary fixing “pull-out” tests and elevation wind loading.
• Design of bespoke panel supporting grid system
• Selection of species & cladding profiles to meet aesthetic requirements
• Design and manufacture of aluminium window cills, flashings and roof coping sections.
• “Off-site” production of timber panels or direct “on-site” fixing of timber slats.

The designs from many of the systems used successfully on recent projects can be adapted to suit the particular performance requirements of new enquiries. This ensures the availability of “tried & tested” products, saving new clients time & money.
